Call of Duty 4 news Signups are now open to EDCOD4L
May 7th 2008

Signups are now open for the inaugral Season of EDCOD4L which commences on Monday 26th May 2008 - http://www.enemydown.co.uk/league.p hp?event=356

Signups will be open till Sunday 18th May and an annoucement on the teams will follow shortly afterwards.

This will be run along similar lines to other regular leagues we run here on Enemydown such as EDCSSL and EDCSL. There will be a maximum of 8 divisions of 8 teams which will be losely grouped skill-wise. There is no prize for this competition but we aim to run regular seasons 3 or 4 times a year. Teams that fail to finish a season will be at the bottom of the pile for future seasons.

All games will take place on Monday night at 21:00 GMT so if you signup and cannot play Mondays then you will get replaced by a team that can play.

The matches are all to be normal Search & Destroy although played over 24 rounds using the cup config (ed_cup)

Team Fortress 2 news Tf2 Rules & Map Updates

Tf2 Rules & Map Update

As you are all probably aware, Valve has brought into affect some changes to TF2. These new changes have made some problems for competitive play so we have made changes to the rules to bring us back on track.

The new medic weapons for all ED matches are currently not allowed. Until valve release the option to allow ALL users access to these weapons for matches, they will not be allowed.

The rules have now been updated to include changes to new custom maps for ladder matches, along with a class limit change. The class limit change is a medic limit of 2 for 8v8 ladder. 6v6 remains unchanged with a medic limit of 1, with all other classes set at 2.

The maps that we have included for use during ladder matches are warpath2, redstone_b2, turbine, station and pro_granary. Also added to this is the new map Goldrush which will be played with one attack and one defence using the edtf2tl120 or edtf2nctl120 configs depending on which ladder the match is being played in.
The configs for use for all matches have now been updated to reflect the changes introduced by valve. Version 1.7 is currently available from - http://www.enemydown.co.uk/forumrep lies.php?id=121933 These will be added to the ED site shortly, and changes to location will be updated in this forum post. Please make sure your servers have these configs in use asap please.

We do have several other custom maps in mind to be added to the ladder list, these we will play test over the next week or two. So if you would like to participate in the testing, a note will be put up on the ED forums - http://www.enemydown.co.uk/forumtop ics.php?id=39 and also broadcast over our steam group - http://steamcommunity.com/groups/ed tf2 This is an open group and you are welcome to join the group to get regular updates on the ED community. The only thing we request from those helping to play test new maps is to give honest feedback on maps, where possible we will be getting the map creators on to watch the match to help them try and improve and make appropriate changes to the maps we may use.

As for the current Spring Bonanza events they will continue for the moment with the default settings and we will use the cp_pro_granary map rather than the new version just released. Both maps will be made available for ladder matches, this will give us the ability to see which map is more popular. Also the locked rosters will be open for a short time during the league and knockout stages. You may not use a player who has played for another team.

Finally i would also like to mention that we are currently looking potential candidates to join the TF2 admin team, anybody who feels they have the skills, or desire to be part of a growing organisation please feel free to contact myself or Ammut for an application form.
