Tf2 Rules & Map Updates

Tf2 Rules & Map Update

As you are all probably aware, Valve has brought into affect some changes to TF2. These new changes have made some problems for competitive play so we have made changes to the rules to bring us back on track.

The new medic weapons for all ED matches are currently not allowed. Until valve release the option to allow ALL users access to these weapons for matches, they will not be allowed.

The rules have now been updated to include changes to new custom maps for ladder matches, along with a class limit change. The class limit change is a medic limit of 2 for 8v8 ladder. 6v6 remains unchanged with a medic limit of 1, with all other classes set at 2.

The maps that we have included for use during ladder matches are warpath2, redstone_b2, turbine, station and pro_granary. Also added to this is the new map Goldrush which will be played with one attack and one defence using the edtf2tl120 or edtf2nctl120 configs depending on which ladder the match is being played in.
The configs for use for all matches have now been updated to reflect the changes introduced by valve. Version 1.7 is currently available from - http://www.enemydown.co.uk/forumrep lies.php?id=121933 These will be added to the ED site shortly, and changes to location will be updated in this forum post. Please make sure your servers have these configs in use asap please.

We do have several other custom maps in mind to be added to the ladder list, these we will play test over the next week or two. So if you would like to participate in the testing, a note will be put up on the ED forums - http://www.enemydown.co.uk/forumtop ics.php?id=39 and also broadcast over our steam group - http://steamcommunity.com/groups/ed tf2...

COD4 CLUK QUALIFIERS

With the Activision tournament coming to an end and CLUK21 approaching fast, it is time for us to announce a new event for you: the COD4 CLUK21 qualifiers, the qualifying stages for the Enemy Down COD4 £1500 event to be held at the CLUK21 LAN in July. Sign-ups can be found here - http://www.enemydown.co.uk/league.p hp?event=339

The structure of this event is that it is split into 2 separate halves, 1 online and 1 at CLUK21 itself. The online half will be run by Enemy Down and will start off with up to 64 teams split over 8 divisions with the top 2 teams from each division qualifying for the LAN finals. The LAN finals will be held at CLUK21 and will comprise of another small qualifying league with 4 divisions of 4 teams. The 8 teams that go through at this stage will go through to a double-elimination knockout where the prize money will be split as follows.

1st place - £1000
2nd place - £500

The 8 teams that do not get through to the double-elimination event at the LAN itself will still be able to play in a LAN-only tournament with other teams that go to simply turn up and play. There is a £375 prize pot for this tournament so even if you don't qualify for the main tournament you will still have a chance to win some money. Due to time constraints it will not be possible to get through to the double elimination finals at the LAN and compete in the LAN tournament as well.

Wakko of Packard Bell who were the winners of the CLUK19 Cod4 Tournament had this to say:

Considering it was its first proper tournament event, it ran very smoothly. The tournament organisers were willing to listen and take on points people had to say...
